Florame aromatherapy's organic anti-ageing oils have been designed to help reduce the effects of the environment, pollution and the natural ageing process on the skin.
The skin, the body's largest organ, is made up of three main layers - the epidermis, the outer layer; the dermis, the middle layer; and the hypodermis, the sub layer. The epidermis serves as a barrier to infection and as ‘waterproofing' to the body. The dermis houses the skin's sweat glands, hair follicles, blood vessels, lymphatic vessels, sebaceous glands and apocrine glands. The hypodermis connects the dermis to bones and muscles and contains 50% of our body fat. It has a different cellular make up to the other two main layers and isn't really regarded as part of the skin.
As you get older, epidermal cell regeneration slows down so the skin becomes thinner and thus requires more care than in youth. An addition, collagen and soft keratin production is also reduced leading to a loss of elasticity and strength in the epidermis which in turn leads to fine lines and wrinkles. As the metabolism slows down so too does the production of sebum. Sebum is a natural oily secretion in the skin and hair which serves to stop them becoming dry and brittle. In addition, we tend to sweat less as our sweat glands produce less moisture, leading to drier skin.
Florame's organic anti-ageing oils have been specifically created to help different skin types cope with the effects of ageing. Florame's combination skin organic anti-ageing oil is designed to nourish the epidermis whilst the dry skin organic anti-ageing oil helps to eliminate environmental toxins and build up on the epidermis.
Our organic anti-ageing oils are not tested on animals and are suitable for use by vegetarians and vegans. Our organic anti-ageing oils are certified organic by EcoCert and carry the EcoCert guaranteed organic Cosmebio logo which certifies that:
- The products are not tested on animals
- They are produced without any raw petrochemical materials
- A minimum of 95% of all ingredients used are natural or of natural origin
- A minimum of 95% of the vegetable/plant ingredients used are organic
- The products do not contain synthetic colouring agents or synthetic fragrances
- They do not contain ethoxylated emulsifiers or parabens
